Urban Homestead Loan Program

The City of Davenport's Urban Homestead Loan Program utilizes federally funded grants to provide home ownership opportunities for low and moderate income households. Our Community &  Economic Development staff works closely with applicants throughout the entire process to determine eligibility.

The City of Davenport is currently in the rehabilitation stage of another home. Stay tune for details and the next open application period. 

Exterior Accessibility Grant Program

Exterior Accessibility Grant Program offers grants to homeowners and renters (with landlord approval) within the corporate limits of the City of Davenport for the installation of exterior ramps, when applicable, and other accessibility options when necessary in order to improve access to the home. Household must meet income, assets, and properties limits set by HUD.  Grant funds are limited; this is a one-time grant for each eligible and approved recipient.

Owner Occupied Rehab Loan Program

Owner Occupied Housing Rehab Loan Program offers loans to homeowners within the corporate limits of the City of Davenport for the correction of existing and potential Housing Code violations.  The program does not preform work on basements or foundations.  Household must meet income, assets and properties limits set by HUD.  A mortgage and promissory note secures all eligible and approved loans.

Small Business Loan Program

The City of Davenport Small Business Loan Program (SBLP) is designed to assist small businesses that are creating new jobs in our City. The Small Business Loan Program offers low interest loans of up to $30,000 for qualified business owners. More information on the Small Business Loan Program can be found here.

 

Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption

The URTE program's objective is to encourage private investments in targeted areas of the city by providing an exemption on the increase in property taxes resulting from improvements. The URTE program works as an incentive to help reinvigorate Davenport.  The program was established to help soften the burden of high property taxes that can result from improving a home/property.

 


Home Buyer Down Payment Grant Program
Home Buyer Down Payment Grant Program:
The Home Buyer Down Payment Grant Program offers funding for future Davenport home buyers towards the down payment on homes within the Davenport City Limits.  The program will provide up to $2500 towards the down payment and closing cost of the home.  Federal income and property eligibility requirements apply.
