Veterans Day Parade is Nov. 11
Nov. 3, 2020 — The annual Veterans Day Parade will take place in downtown Davenport on Wednesday Nov., 11. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from the intersection of West 4th Street and Western Avenue and proceed through the streets of downtown. Come down to show your support and celebrate our veterans!
The Davenport Police Department will be providing traffic control along the route. Please plan accordingly if you need to travel downtown that morning, and expect brief detours and delays.
A brief ceremony at the flag poles in front of the Scott County Jail will follow the parade, honoring fallen service members. It will include placing a wreath at the base of the Flag poles. Taps will played and a squad fires three volleys from rifles meaning that our dead have been properly cared for. Social distancing and masks are strongly recommended.
