Storm Sewer Installation on 4th St

March 5, 2019
The contractor was able to install a new storm sewer and re-pave the south side of 4th St before January brought us snow and subzero temperatures.  The crew is expected to finish new the storm sewer and a stormwater/sanitary sewer separation on the south side of 4th Street around March 15th.  The current lane reduction will remain in place until temperatures improve enough to repave the street.

November 21, 2018
Beginning Monday, November 26th, E 4th St will be reduced to one to two lanes of travel between Iowa and LeClaire Streets for the installation of a new storm sewer. Iowa St will be closed just south of 4th St in addition to the 4th St lane reduction.

Traffic control will transition across 4th St as the storm sewer is installed. One to two lanes of travel will be maintained at all times.

Temporary No Parking has also been placed along this stretch of 4th St to ensure an option for through traffic is maintained while work is performed.

Local businesses will be accessible for the duration of the project.

Work will occur as weather permits over the winter months; however, may be paused for extended periods if conditions are not favorable.  The entire project is tentatively scheduled for completion late in the spring of 2019.

Travel delays are possible while this work is performed. Motorists are advised to consider an alternate route.
