Our parks and trails remain open, please enjoy them responsibly! Conditions change quickly, so check back for updates.

Open park amenities must follow the guidelines below (failure to comply will result in park closure).

GOLF COURSES

Davenport Parks and Recreation is continuing to observe the current COVID-19 health crisis and adhering to recommendations from public health authorities. As always, our primary concern is for the safety of our patrons and staff. 

Golf patrons must:
■  Practice social distancing (6 feet away)
■  Limit gathering in groups (less than 10 people)
■  Play and move on (leave after round is complete)
■  Avoid physical contact (refrain from touching one another)
■  Reside in the state of Iowa (no out-of-state residents)
 
Current precautionary measures in place:
■ Golfers are limited to single rider carts (unless playing with family member)
■ Each golf cart will be sprayed with disinfectant following round
■ Credit card sales only, with terminals located outside (no physical contact with cashiers)
■ Clubhouses are closed and locked
■ Restrooms are accessible from the outside only
■ Increased frequency of cleaning/disinfecting other high touch points such as countertops, credit card devices, door handles, etc.
■ Cups are filled with foam insert (no removal of flagstick)
■ Ball washers are empty to avoid any other touch points

 All Junior Theatre Summer Camps will be cancelled for Summer 2020.  This includes:

Mini Camp : Shifting Seasons
Other Junior Theatre Opportunities
 
DJT’s Free Learning Channel – A free collection of theatre, dance, lessons, tours, performances, and more!  Access this anytime. 
 
Virtual June 4-Week Session – Starting June 1-4, we have programs in theatre & dance for kids ages 3-18 years.  ZOOM in with us and have some fun! Average cost for four week class is only $25.  We are offering 50 classes, 8 topics are all new.

Davenport public library

Fairmount Window open for pickup.
Scheduled Curbside Pickup available at Main (321 Main) and Eastern (6000 Eastern Avenue) for limited hours beginning on Tuesday, May 26th from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Curbside will be available Monday- Friday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm for hold pick-ups only

Ground transportation center

The following COVID restrictions will remain in place for Davenport’s CitiBus Transit system through July 1, 2020 or as noted.

  • The Quad Cities Transit Systems, Davenport Citibus, the Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District (Metro), and Bettendorf transit are suspending fare collection through July 1.
  • The Ground Transportation Center (GTC), located at 300 W River Dr, will remain closed to the public through July 1. Buses are staged on 2nd St instead of the GTC. Temporary parking and route signage has been placed to accommodate rider pick-up and drop-off on 2nd St.
  • Sunday bus service is suspended until further notice.
  • Passenger limits of one person per row per side will remain in effect until further notice.
  • We continue to encourage riders to wear protective face coverings.

Waste Commission of Scott County
Drop-off of household hazardous materials has been suspended at the Waste Commission of Scott Facilities. Keep these materials secured until they can be safely disposed of

Davenport U Citizen's Academy postponed
Housing Authority closed to walk-in traffic
Harrison Parking Ramp Downtown is free until further notice. Two-hour on-street parking continues to be enforced and parking in the Redstone and RiverCenter ramps is still paid

Solid Waste will begin pickup at 6:30am on regular scheduled routes

 

All branches closed through March 31. The drive-up window at Fairmount Branch, 3000 Fairmount St., will  be open 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. , Monday-Saturday for hold pickups only.
