Start Smart Programs are developmentally appropriate introductory sports programs for children 3 - 5 years old. The program prepares children for organized sports in an innovative step-by-step approach that builds confidence and self-esteem in a fun, safe, nonthreatening sports environment. Start Smart prepares children and their parents for organized sports without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt using age appropriate equipment to teach sport specific skills like throwing, catching, batting, kicking, dribbling, agility, and more. The programs are designed as six one-hour sessions to allow parents and their children time to practice in-between sessions. Each session will take the participants through four different skill stations where one or two skills will be introduced and performed.
