DFD SWEARS IN FIREFIGHTERS

Congratulations to Firefighters Collin Boldt, Corrine Israel, Ben Nagle and Nickolas Ulloa! They were sworn in Wednesday by Mayor Pro Tem Jason Gordon.

Collin Boldt is from Jackson, Wisconsin. He graduated from West Bend East High School in 2010. After graduation he attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and then Waukesha County Technical College to study Fire Science. He then joined the United States Marine Corps in March of 2013. He became a crew leader at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California in the Aircraft Recovery Division. He obtained his NREMT-Basic at EMSTA College in August of 2016. He received an Honorable Discharge in March of 2017 before being hired by Davenport Fire Department. He has a 2 year old son named Beckett. His wife, Brooke, will be pinning his badge.
Korinne Israel grew up in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Quint City Baptist School in 2007 and then attended Maranatha University from 2007-2011. While at Maranatha, Korinne played basketball and soccer and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health. After graduation in 2011, she joined the Army Reserves and has served in the transportation corps for the past six years. After college, Korinne worked as the General Manager at Planet Fitness before leaving to go back to school at the University of Iowa for her paramedic certificate. Most recently, Korinne worked for Medic EMS as a paramedic prior to obtaining employment with the Davenport Fire Department. Today, her father David will be pinning her badge.
Ben Nagle grew up in Long Grove, IA. He graduated from North Scott High School in 2011 and was very involved in athletics. After graduation, he attended Wartburg College where he was on the wrestling team and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology. His Father, Jay, will be pinning his badge.
Nickolas Ulloa was born and raised in Davenport, IA. He graduated from North High School in 1997. After high school he attended and graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor Degree in Health Promotion and Minor in Business in 2003. Nick also has his Firefighter I and II certifications and is currently working toward his EMT, which he’ll have completed December of this year. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family. He has three children, one son, Gabe (9yrs.) and two daughters, Georgia (6yrs.) and Gracelyn (2yrs.) His wife Lindsay will be pinning his badge.
