URTE changes could mean property tax savings
Posted on 09/28/2018
House on East 6th StreetCity Council approved changes to the Urban Revitalization Tax Exemption (URTE) program at the Sept. 26 City Council meeting.

This can mean large property tax savings when you make improvements to your home or business. For example, if you make improvements to your home in the Central area, any increase in assessed valuation due to those improvements is exempt from property taxes for 10 years!

The deadline for the URTE program is Feb. 1, 2019 for all work completed in 2018.
