Mayor wants collaboration for juvenile justice

Rock Island Mayor Mike Thoms, Eldridge Mayor Marty O’Boyle, Scott County Board Chairman Tony Knobbe, Alderman Mike Matson and Interim Davenport Schools Superintendent T.J. Schneckloth also attended, showing the issue is a regional one.

During the briefing, Mayor Klipsch reviewed the process that led to the final report and its recommendations, noting a number of listening sessions with community members were held over the summer, followed by data review and the Scott County Youth Community Planning Summit that brought in a number of agencies, from law enforcement, juvenile court services and social services.
