Holiday Recycling Tips

Wondering what to do with all of the extra material such as boxes and bags the holiday brings? Check out the GO ALL IN Holiday Recycling guide, http://www.goallinqc.org/holiday-recycling-guide/ to find out what goes in recycling and place the rest with the trash.

Don’t forget the lights and electronics.

The city offers free curbside collection of large electronic waste throughout the year for items such as TV’s. Just place the item(s) outside of the cart for collection on your regularly scheduled recycling and bulky waste collection day, and we will pick it up.

Smaller electronics such as: Christmas lights, calculators, game systems, DVD players & VCR's, printers, stereos and scanners are recyclable; however residents must take these items directly to the Electronic Demanufacturing Facility to be recycled. The facility is located at 1048 East 59th St, and is open 7:30am to 4pm weekdays and 8am to 1pm on the first Saturday of the month, except holidays.

Have questions? Visit www.davenportiowa.com/solidwaste and access the ReCollect tool to find out what goes where, or call us at 563.326.7923 during business hours 7am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays.
