Central Park will be closed to through traffic between Brady and Harrison Streets beginning Monday, April 29th in order to abandon and underground utility tunnel and repave the street.

Access to Vander Veer Park will be available from Harrison and Brady; the actual closure is just east of Harrison St and just west of the Brady St.

The work is estimated to be complete around Friday, May 17th.

Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour.

The right eastbound curb lane of Central Park Ave between Harrison and Brady Streets will remain closed through the end of April, possibly into May.

When work began over the winter, several underground utility issues were identified. Crews are in the process of abandoning some utilities and installing some new services. When that work is complete, work will proceed to abandon an underground utility tunnel that exists, and repaving the surface.

As work progresses, Central Park will require full closure to address repair needs. The public will be informed when a closure is necessary.
